What is Teeth Whitening

Teeth Whitening is the process of using a high concentration of either hydrogen or carbamide peroxide to life and remove surface stains sitting on top of the enamel.

How does it work?

Upon application the peroxide acts quickly to get into the microscopic cracks which pushes out the stains,

iS AN LED LIGHT REQUIRED?

No, it is not required however research proves that this helps activate and excellerate the whitening process to ensure optimal end results.

How many shades whiter can i expect my teeth to get?

Results vary from client to client and cannot be predicted or guaranteed but usually teeth may lighten anywhere from 2 to 10 shades, sometimes more!

hOW LONG WILL THE RESULTS LAST?

Results typically last 3-5 months depending on teeth structure, hygiene and oral habits.

hOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE

The process takes only 40 minutes to achieve a whiter and brighter smile. It is broken down into two applications to allow for maximum gel concentration and light exposure.

How many sessions will i need?

Typically only 1 session is needed. Results depend greatly on how discoloured the teeth were originally so in some cases additional treatments may be recommended in order to achieve the desired shade, especially with heavily stained teeth.

Does the treatment hurt?

Teeth whitening may cause sensitivity during or after treatment and slight discomfort in the gums. Both of these side effects are temporary and will disappear a few days after treatment. We recommended brushing with Sensodyne two times daily, two weeks before and after your whitening treatment to help control whitening-related sensitivity.

Unlike over-the-counter kits, professional whitening uses a stronger formula that can provide you with a noticeably whiter smile in a single treatment. At-home kits that can be picked up at the drugstore often take a week or longer to provide noticeable results.
